hummm … “apolitical China-centered weblog”.
Really ?
I love it. I somehow dont thick its too far off from the truth as some politions see it. lol
“Ghost of Noam Chomsky surprised to see he’s still alive”
Gotta love it
Nothing like a good chance to bash the world’s most powerful female African-American. Apolitical blog, eh?
Those fake American accents suck.
@krovvy: There isn’t any bashing here.
@kmk: This isn’t a political post.
It seems more like a “let’s laugh at the language of international relations as it was spoken a couple hundred years ago” moment. Am I right, John?
If John had included an analysis of Orientalism or something similar, you might have a point. He didn’t. You don’t.
Honk. Honk.
kmk,
I think Josh has it figured out.
The fact that this video was made by Brits about US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, who is unpopular at home and even more so abroad, makes me suspicious that there is a political message: those dumb ass Americans and their inept foreign policies.
Wait, I knew The Onion left Wisconsin for New York a while back, but when did it move to the UK? Or did Murdoch take it over? Is it not OK to laugh at it then?

@ Sonagi: It’s The Onion, so I don’t think we can blame European snobbery for this one.
@ John: I’m surprised you didn’t post this video. It’s China-related, and you could get even more commenters angry 😉
If it’s the Onion, then it’s pure parody. The Onion is non-partisan and will mock anyone. The accents still suck.
I always thought it would be better if Condie Rice’s Chinese official name was 大米 instead of lai se (sorry, don’t know the characters for that one)
Fake american accents? The Onion is an American publication. Now they have fake news as well, complete with serious sounding older actors with “gravitas” which adds to the hilarity. But those guys are clearly american.
